Dating these days
requires some skill
That’s because dating has changed, and there are challenges - both with meeting the people you want to meet, and navigating relationships.
We’ve had personal experiences with these challenges. And so have our friends. And so have people in our our large, extended networks.
So, for two people who genuinely love making people’s lives better, it was a no-brainer: time to do something about it.
Esha after years of being on the apps, realised they weren’t having a positive effect. The swiping/chatting cycle was exhausting, demoralising and left her feeling disconnected from herself and the idea of love. So she turned them off, and suddenly, she was getting set up by friends and acquaintances. The connections felt easier, more meaningful, and the slower, more intentional way of dating was the key to shedding bad patterns and feeling open and excited about love again.
Ilana has been in the ‘dating trenches’ for the last few years, and while she mostly enjoys being single, and recognises the importance of a period of singledom, she has had some disheartening experiences that taught her some important life lessons. These days, she often leans on her personal and professional networks for thoughtful introductions. What drives Ilana is the realisation that there is no blueprint for dating and relationships anymore, and that this in itself is a huge opportunity to create something new.
Our individual experiences have led to some fascinating questions: how do we make dating fun and life-enriching again in a world ruled by algorithms? What does it take now to successfully date and create an amazing relationship?
We think we’ve got at least some of the answers, with the real-world know-how (yes, many, many dates) and the theoretical knowledge to help you. Best of all, we understand people and their motivations, we love creating incredible experiences, and we truly care.
With that, we welcome you to The List, built on the premise that finding love can only happen in one of two ways: on your own and by chance…or with a little help 😉.
